My professional career started in the United States Navy, specializing as a Nuclear Engineer. This formative experience instilled discipline, leadership, and a strong sense of duty, shaping the foundation for my future endeavors. Post-military service, I transitioned to the realm of education, finding fulfillment as a Computer and History High School teacher. This chapter of my life reflects a commitment to shaping the next generation and fostering a passion for learning. It was one of the greatest times in my professional life nurturing young minds and leaving an indelible mark on my students.

Driven by a keen interest in technology, I continued on a journey into the world of Information Technology, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in the field. This academic achievement laid the groundwork for a multifaceted career, revealing an individual capable of mastering diverse disciplines. Ultimately, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Data Science that equipped me with the analytical acumen to navigate the complex landscape of data and extract meaningful insights.

In the confluence of history and technology, I have discovered a balance, skillfully utilizing my dual History and Information Technology degrees to be able to connect the dots between the past and the future. This fusion of seemingly unrelated disciplines has supplied me with a distinctive proficiency, enabling the integration of technical expertise with a comprehensive grasp of societal trends and historical contexts.

Recognizing the pivotal role of technology in shaping the future, I am obligated to channel my capabilities towards propelling Utah forward in the crucial realm of technology, while also drawing invaluable insights from the lessons of the past.
